Formed by Daniel Eschbach in the late 90's in Germany, Robodop Snei has been part of the Melbourne electronic underground music scene since 2005. Danny and ​Robodop

Snei have now become a fixture of Australia’s chill spaces with regular appearances at Maitreya and Rainbow Serpent Festivals as well as uncountable club gigs, warehouse and outdoor parties over the years. ​Robodop Snei will be playing at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2020.

This marriage lends to a life and energy rarely, if ever, found in Electronic Dance Music with a set BPM. All samples, effects and bass are triggered or faded in ʻreal time ʼ. "Things get trippy on here – real trippy. Snippets of LSD-inspired meanderings preface heaving slabs of electronica that bubble beneath the surface before disappearing into the abyss again. Otherworldly beeps, blips, and bursts of noise rain down and sizzle over throbbing bass grooves. Each track is accompanied by its BPM, with most whizzing by around the 130 to 140 mark. It’s all a little disorientating – but that’s the desired effect. The ScullaMooks want to warp your perception of reality without the use of mind-altering substances. Stepping Inwards was a collaboration in the summertime of 2014 between James Woodcock (Jimmi-Woods) and Luke Horsfall (Dr Squiggle) that has now ended with the two artists focusing on their solo acts. Even though now defunct , the projects sheer quality demands its release.

Stepping Inwards is a journey into the realm of psychedelic techno. From the humble confines of the bedroom studio Luke and James chanted an incantation of the hypnotic, anodised with a layer of brooding intensity. As your hips begin to shake, the music proceeds to cross the blood brain barrier. Each track becomes a neuro-tropical landscape, comprised of deep tech rhythms accompanied by powerful peaks and enchantingly elongated sounds. Omni Ear showcases the eclectic, freeform side of Slice’s artist base, covering experimental acts, beats and techno, whilst Nexus delivers progressive trance through to the kind of dark psychedelia that clears all but the hardiest of souls from the dancefloor.

Over the last three years we’ve had an opportunity to hold events of an amazingly diverse nature; we want our second comp to highlight exactly where we’ve come from. As a part of this history, we’d love to have you on board!

There will be physical release - A collector’s edition, including 2xCDs and a booklet containing memories from our events as well as artwork inspired by the music contained within. This album will be presented as a seamless release, with each track merging into the next to provide the listener
